Happy Halloween

R was not thrilled with her costume.

Poor R doesn't know what to do with candy.  She doesn't get to eat it, but she knows there's some appeal.  She stole all the suckers from her sisters' bags and tried carrying them all around all night.

Ice Cream and Birthstones

The girls were eating lunch, thinking about the ice cream they had eaten the night before.
E: When you make ice cream, you get ice and stir it up to real cold water, and then mix it with cream.
M: (thinking about what E had said) No, daddy used a spoon.

I had mentioned to E that everyone has a birthstone that is determined by the month they were born in.  She was very hopeful that hers would be pink.  We were looking at a chart online that showed the different birthstones, and she asked which one was hers. I pointed it out, and with such disappointment, she said, "The orange one? Shoot, dawg."
